Jacked Up Pit Barrel Smoked Ham
Here is a very simple and basic recipe to take a regular store bought Ham and turn it into something special and full of flavor.
1 precooked smoked Ham (mine was 10 pounds)
18 ounce jar of Orange Marmalade (Pineapple, Apricot or Mango)
1/3 Cup of Dark Molasses
1 Cup of Honey
1 Cup of Jack Daniels
1/2 Cup of Brown Sugar
2 Tablespoons Dijon Mustard
1/2 Teaspoon of Ground Cloves (Optional)
Place Ham in Foil Pan and fill bottom with Apple Juice. Smoke for 1-1 1/2 hours on Smoker. Once Ham has taken on Smoke and Color brush Ham with Glaze and cover with foil. Continue cooking until Ham reaches a temperature of 135-140 degrees.
Cover with foil and allow to rest for 10-15 minutes. Slice and Enjoy!
